CURIOSITY CONVERSATIONS: FULL COURSE
“Curiosity Conversations” is a seminar designed to create better outcomes for the employee experience to increase innovation, employee engagement & retention, and overall productivity through increasing the amount of curiosity in your culture. During this 4 part, 90-minutes series, participants explore curiosity, the curious mindset, curious communications, and curious actions at one’s convenience.
Successful completion of this course earns participants 6 SHRM credits or 6 hours Texas Continuing Education.
Duration: 4 weeks
Time Commitment: 90 min per week.
Format: Seminar style lectures that include time for live, personalized Q&A, discussion, and networking. Registration fee includes all teaching materials, reading links, and homework assignment.
Deliverables: Each module includes supporting coursework that can be completed at your own pace and will provide customized assessment and results to each participant based on their circumstances.
Success is measured by:
• An understanding about a curious mindset, curious communications, and curious actions.
• An understanding of the impediments to curiosity in your organization.
• A framework from which they can nurture curiosity within themselves
Using curiosity for better outcomes with remote working
During this course, with 10 installments, you will engage your curiosity to understand and navigate the changes, challenges, and dynamics when working remotely. Working remotely is major change to organizational design, communication, and engagement. Moreover, there are cultural norms and biases held in individual belief systems about what is work and what is adding value to your team.
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS BUILT ON TRUST AND RESPECT

During this session we will deep dive into the importance of curiosity in the processes of building relationships built on trust and respect. Relationships that grow stronger over time and can endure challenges are built on open and honest communication. Applying curiosity to your communications can support an open mindset where you can communicate from a place good intent. Conversations become communication and not gossip, support is not interpreted as sabotage, and influence is achieved without pressure, guilt, or shame. Increasing the level of curiosity to your communication will improve the clarity of your intent, bring empathy to your engagement, and or redirect relationships to produce better outcomes.
CREATING SAFE AND INCLUSIVE WORK ENVIRONMENTS
Using curiosity to create safe and inclusive work cultures
During this session we will deep dive into the importance of curiosity in creating safe and inclusive work environments. Every company, situation, and classroom possess a culture with their own unique organizational dynamics, practices, traditions, and norms. Underlying these events are unspoken behaviors. Do these behaviors support attitudes of inclusivity, positive intent, and judgment free interactions?
MANAGING DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS

During this session we examine how applying curiosity can help us manage any change process in our life. Any change process has unquantifiable affects on us. Change represents uncertainty, a lack of control, and the unknown. For many this lack of clarity can generate fear or anxiety; a lack of clarity can also trigger unhealed past traumas which become unspoken challenges.
COMMUNICATING THE CHANGE PROCESS
Using curiosity to communicate changes
During this session we will deep dive how applying curiosity can help us manage any change process in our life. Any change process has unquantifiable affects on us. Change represents uncertainty, a lack of control, and the unknown. For many this lack of clarity can generate fear or anxiety; a lack of clarity can also trigger unhealed past traumas which become unspoken challenges. During this evening we discuss the change processes, identify our own emotional triggers, and develop techniques that we can use to navigate our emotions, confidence, and presence with better outcomes in any change process.
GIVING AND RECEIVING FEEDBACK
Using curiosity for feedback
During this session we will explore the role of curiosity to give and receive feedback in our growth, the mindset in crafting feedback, the ability to receive and apply feedback, and the skills that support the successful application of curiosity to the feedback process. Successful completion earns 1 SHRM Credit.
